Hear the stories of those who lost their lives at sea who are either buried at Abney Park, or commemorated on a family grave. The subjects of this tour include seafarers lost on various oceans, families lost in shipping and ferry disasters, ship’s surgeons and a naval captain posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross.

When she and a journalist showed it was possible to purchase a 13 year old girl, the Government's response was to imprison those who exposed this. Abney holds people who planned and were sentenced for their part in this scandal of the 1880s. Adult themes will be discussed.
